3 A day when a person stayed in bed more than half a day because of illness or injury. Includes those work-loss and school-loss days actually spent in bed.
4 A day when a person lost more than half a workday because of illness or injury. Computed for persons 17 years of age and over (beginning 1984, 18 years of age and over) in the currently employed population, defined as those who were working or had a job or business from which they were not on layoff during the 2-week period preceding the week of interview.
5 Child's loss of more than half a school day because of illness or injury. Computed for children 6-16 years of age. Beginning 1984,children 5-17 years old.
