Terrorist groups - foreign based:
al-Shabaab: aim(s): avenge Ugandan support for elements combatting al-Shabaab area(s) of operation: remains operational in Uganda; suicide bombers killed approximately 76 people and injured at least 70 on 11 July 2010 in Kampala; remains operational across the country; leadership claims the attacks are in retaliation for Uganda's support for the African Union Mission for Somalia, a regional peacekeeping force operated by the African Union with the UN's approval
