Airfields: 31 total, 31 usable; 10 with permanent-surface runways; 4 with runways 2,440-3,659 m; 16 with runways 1,220-2,439 m

Telecommunications: poor system of cable and open-wire lines, minor radio-relay links, and radio communications stations; 5,200 telephones (0.2 per 100 popl.); 2 AM, no FM or TV stations; 2 satellite ground stations under construction
