Ports: none (Bolivian cargo moved through Arica and Antofagasta, Chile, and Matarani, Peru)

Telecommunications: radio-relay system being expanded; improved international services; 144,300 telephones (2.6 per 100 popl.); 160 AM, 29 FM, 42 TV stations; 1 Atlantic Ocean INTELSAT station
