Evening light on Marlborough Sounds

The Marlborough Sounds are part of the Richmond Range, which has tipped into the ocean'sthe area is essentially a series of 'drowned valleys�. Several of the forested islands provide a safe habitat for endangered species including the kakapo, tuatara, and giant weta. The area is also a recreational playground'smany holiday homes and resorts are accessible only by water.
