Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park

In Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park you�ll find New Zealands tallest mountains, largest glaciers and most extreme living conditions. The mountains are seen as ancestors by the Ng_i Tahu people and Aoraki (Mount Cook) is sacred above all. Climbers now show their respect for the mountain by not setting foot on the actual summit.
