Abel Tasman National Park, Nelson
The Abel Tasman National Park was created in December 1942, exactly 300 years after the Dutch Explorer Abel Tasman sailed into Golden Bay.
The parks Coast Track is the most popular great walk in New Zealand, and takes an average of three days to complete.
Sea kayaking is another way to explore the park.
From Nelson as a base, one can visit this amazing park, for a trip filled with striking views and unspoiled beaches.
