Brixen im Thale is situated in the centre of the Brixen Valley and the Kitzbuhel Alps, about 10 minutes from Kitzbuhel and 20 minutes from the motorway exit in Worgl.

It offers summer activities in its lakes, such as Lake Erlensee'san idyllic pond for fishing, and lake Filzalmsee; hiking and mountain bikeing.

Being in the heart of the skiing area SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, it offers an extensive network of cross-country ski tracks, a high-altitude cross-country ski track right in the skiing area, winter hiking trails, a natural toboggan run, and slopes in Brixen, Hopfgarten, Itter, Soll, Scheffau, Ellmau, Going, Kelchsau and Westendorf, including a new cable car up to the Choralpe in Westendorf
