Civilian employment as a percent of the civilian working age population. Data based on U.S. labor force definitions (see source) except that minimum age for population base varies as follows: United States, France, Sweden, and beginning 1980, United Kingdom, 16 years; Australia, Canada, Japan, Netherlands, Germany, Italy beginning 1993, and United Kingdom for 1970, 15 years; and Italy, prior to 1993, 14 years]
